Tuition policy and fees
Registration Fee: A one time fee of $45 will be required to register for classes. All registration fees are non-refundable. Only one registration fee per family.
Monthly Tuition Payment: Monthly tuition is due the first of each month starting September 1st and is a total of 9 monthly payments September-May. A late fee of $45.00 will be applied on the 16th of each month if tuition has not been paid.
Costume Fees: Each class unless marked “technique only” will have a costume fee of $80 for our annual Showcase at the Carpenter Theatre. All costume fees are due by November 1st so that the studio can order costumes for our Showcase.
Class Cancellations: Central Virginia Dance Academy can only hold classes that meet enrollment requirements by August 14th. If a class does not meet those requirements an email notification with new class options will be sent by August 14th.
Paid in Full Discount: If you would like to receive the 5% paid in full discount please email billing@centralvadance.com to set up this option. All paid in full must be paid by August 15th. Paid in full payments are non-refundable unless a doctor's note has been submitted to anne@centralvadance.com. Refunds will not be issued if a dancer drops classes at any point in the season even if prior to the withdrawal date or the start of the season unless a doctor's note has been submitted.
Withdraw Policy: Tuition for September and October is non-refundable once posted on your account. Tuition is posted one week prior to the due date of the 1st.
All tuition is non-refundable after the last withdraw date of October 24th unless a doctor’s note has been submitted for illness or injury. An email must be submitted to anne@centralvadance.com on or prior to October 24th for a withdrawal from the season.
All registration fees are non-refundable.
If a student is not dropping but changing class days/times there is a $20 change class fee. If a student is changing to a class that is less hours then previous schedule the tuition will not be adjusted until the following month. Once tuition is posted for the first month it will not be adjusted unless a student is adding more classes.
Unforeseeable Closure Policy: Closure Policy: In the event CVDA needs to cancel classes due to inclement weather or other unforeseeable reasons tuition will not be refunded. Dancers will be given the opportunity to make up classes that are missed if there is another class option of the same level. In an unforeseeable closure due to a tragic event, tuition will not be refunded and parents must pay the remainder of tuition for the season.
